Chippa United has continued to strengthen the squad  ahead of the 2018/2019 season, with the signing of Zebras duo, Thatoyaone Kgamanyane and Kabelo Seakanyeng from Gaborone United.

Both players are currently with the Botswana national team participating in the Cosafa Cup in Polokwane.

Kgamanyane (22), who has earned himself the nickname, “Messi” is currently the leading goalscorer in the Botswana Premier League with 20 goals. He has featured 8 times for the Zebras.

Seakanyeng (24) is already one of the senior members of the national team with 46 caps. He plays in the wide positions and as a second striker.

Executive Chairman, Siviwe Mpengesi has welcomed the both players to the Chilli Boys.

“We have been monitoring both players for a while and took the opportunity to watch them closely during Cosafa.

“We were looking for players that can give us more offensive power and we believe both are an answer to that,” said a visible delighted Mpengesi.

Mpengesi paid tribute to Gaborone  United for their professionalism during the negotiations; “I would like to thank Gaberone United Management on the manner they handled the negotiations. They were absolutely brilliant from day one.

“The guys will make an impact in the Absa Premiership, I welcome them and wish them all the best in the blue and white of Chippa United, ” concluded Mpengesi.
