Head of Development, Glen Minnie has told chippautdfc.co.za that the preparations for the Engen Champ of Champs set to take place at the University of Pretoria from Friday, 07 – Sunday, 09 October are going well.

Champ of Champs pits five regional Engen Knockout Challenge winners and host club SuperSport United. Chippa are the current holders in the Eastern Cape, winning the Knockout back in July early this year.

Minnie said on Tuesday afternoon; “Our preparations for Engen have gone well. We have played friendlies with local U19 teams. The lads have been training five times a week under the watchful eye of our coach, Siya Gwambi.

“We also had a team building exercise to build teamwork, which is an important part of how we do things at Chippa United right to the first team.

Minnie revealed that there is a delegation of 25 parents traveling with the team to Pretoria; “We are grateful for the support we are getting from the parents. It is important for the lads to know when they put in their jerseys that their parents will be on the stands supporting them.”
