Chippa United will be hoping to continue with their dominance over Baroka FC when the two sides lock horns at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday, 12 September 2017.  Kickoff for what promises to be a scintillating encounter is at 19h30.

The Port Elizabeth based side completed a double over Baroka FC last season scoring a massive six (6) goals over the two legs.

Chippa United is going to the game encounter against Baroka FC high on confidence following a morale boosting 2-0 win against AmaZulu last month.

Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium, The Home of the Chilli Boys has become a fortress for the side, and that has made it difficult for teams to leave the Bay with points. Head Coach, Dan Malesela and his charges will be hoping to build on the last game held at the stadium when they host Baroka FC.

Chippa United has recruited well during the off-season despite losing their league opener away to Orlando Pirates. The likes of Brighton Mhlongo, Mark Mayambela, Kurt Lentjies, and the returning “wall” at the back, James Okwuosa and Zitha Macheke showed glimpses of brilliance against AmaZulu.

Forward, Moeketsi “Drogba” Sekola seems to have rediscovered the form that made him one of the most feared strikers in the League, having opened his account for the Chilli Boys against AmaZulu, he will go to the next game with confidence which might be a nightmare for visiting the Baroka FC side.

Dan Malesela’s side prides itself for dominating their opponents with possession football with many comparing the side to the all conquering Barcelona side under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola, but the Pretoria-born coach has emphasised the need to be ruthless upfront, and he will be looking to his strikers, Moeketsi Sekola, Katlego Mashego and Lerato Manzini to convert the chances the team is creating.

Coupled with the experience of Andile Mbenyane, Sandile Zuke and the exuberance of youth in the likes Paseka Mako, Phetso Maphanga, and newly signed Ayabulela Konqobe should be enough to inspire the “Pride of the Eastern Cape” on a season themed as “Season of Victory”.

Tickets for the game are already on sale at Ticket Pro outlets nationwide selling for R40 adults and R12 children under the age of 12.

Fans based in Port Elizabeth can also purchase tickets at the Stadium office operating between 08h30 – 16h30 from Monday to Friday.

Meanwhile, Chilli Boys Supporters Package will be activating on the day of the game and Chippa United supporters are urged to support the newly launched package aimed at giving supporter peace of mind during challenging times.
