Chippa United head coach Dan “Dance” Maselela expressed disappointed with his side’s performance on Friday evening against Platinum Stars.

The high intensisity game ended in a 1-1 draw, where the home side squandered two penalties – one in the early stages of the game, and the other in the dying minutes of the second half.

“It’s not a good display by ourselves at home, we made a lot of errors in passing the ball, and basic defending mistakes that could have cost us the entire three points” said a visibly dejected Malesela.

“We didn’t look hungry enough for the three points; and did not look like a team that is playing at home, and the second penalty we received displayed that. “We should have buried the game at that stage”.

The Port Elizabeth-based dropped to 8th position on the log, trailing by one point to Polokwane City who are 7th.

The Chilli Boys will clash with the Clever Boys away on Tuesday the 1st of November.

“Our target was to get at least 7 points out of our three games, now we have two points out of two games, in the match against Wits we will try and attack in order to get three points which will leave us with at least five points out of the three games”

“We will have to change a number of personnel, we must and unfortunately when things are not going well, you constantly find yourself reshuffling the starting eleven” Said Dan Malesela.

The match will kick off at 19:30 at Dobsonville Stadium, and will be televised live on Supersport.
