Man of the Match, Thembinkosi Lorch paid tribute to Head Coach Dan Malesela for the opportunity granted to him, and the way he has improved his game.

The winger started the season with a bang on Tuesday evening providing two assists in the win against Free State Stars.

Lorch was at his best yet again in the MTN8 quarter final, providing an assist for debutant Masuku; “I thank the Coach (Dan Malesela) for the faith he has shown in me, giving me an opportunity to play for the Chilli Boys. The Coach and the rest of the Technical Team have been pushing me hard at training and everybody, including my teammates has been supportive.

“I am also settling in well in Port Elizabeth since my arrival in July,” said the former Cape Town All Stars winger.

Reflecting on the game on Saturday Lorch said; “We played a good game on Saturday and we deserve to be in the semi finals.

“I struggled a bit with the heat in the first half, but in the second half it was much better. We want to go as far as we can in the competition,” added Lorch.

Meanwhile Chippa United has been draw against Mamelodi Sundowns in the semi-finals of the MTN8 to be played over two legs on the weekend of 10/11 and 17/18 September 2016. Dates and venues will be announced by the League in due course.
