Chippa United Headquarters, 10 February 2017 – Head Coach, Dan Malesela has urged his charges to turn quality into results ahead of the much-anticipated fixture against reigning Absa Premiership and CAF Champions League, Mamelodi Sundowns at Sisa Dukashe, Mdantsane on Tuesday, 14 February 2017.

The Chilli Boys are coming back from a moral boosting midweek win against Baroka FC and will go to the game full in confidence.

The two sides met earlier this season in a two-legged MTN8 semi-final fixture, with Mamelodi Sundowns proceeding to the final after a slender 1-0 win in Pretoria following an entertaining goalless draw played in Port Elizabeth.

‘Dance’ believes the game will be a tight affair once AGAIN; “It will be a tight game that is for sure,”

Mamelodi Sundowns have been impressive both in the domestic league and in Africa, and Malesela is aware of the danger they pose.

“We cannot underestimate the fact that these are African champions. They have quality all round.

“We pride ourselves in the quality of our play, but we must turn this quality into results,” said Malesela addressing the media during the Media Open Day at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Thursday.

“We are all still trying to find our feet following the break. You do not want to meet them when they have played a lot of matches, and are high on confidence. Now is an ideal time,” continued Malesela.

The game will be the second for the Club at Sisa Dukashe Stadium, “East London is always good to us, the energy from the stands is always magnetic.  It is our home game, and we need to make it difficult for people to come to us and take points. I would like to call on all our supporters to come through to the stadium on Tuesday.

Rhulani Manzini’s come back has lifted spirits the dressing room, and he showed his quality on Tuesday evening; “We are delighted to have Rhulani back, and I hope he continues where he left off on Tuesday.

Tickets for the game are already on sale at TicketPro outlets around the country, selling at R40 adults and R20 for children under the age of 12.
