Head Coach, Dan Malesela has heaped praise on striker, Katlego Mashego following his return from injury.
The Bushbuckridge-born striker last featured for Chippa United against Baroka FC.  His season appeared to be over when he tore his quads in both legs late March but made a remarkable recovery, and declared himself fit for the midweek fixture  against SuperSport United on Wednesday.
Malesela gave Mashego a start before he was replaced by hattrick hero and homeboy, Rhulani “Iron Ball” Manzini.
“Katlego is a professional.  He went home after the injury, not to just sit, but work hard to come back to the team,” said Malesela.
“He has not recovered fully, but he told me he would rather take a risk, than watch on the sidelines while the team is going down,” revealed Malesela speaking to chippautdfc.co.za
“He displayed an incredible attitude, and I shared what he told me with the rest of the players. His presence can only be positive for us going forward,” added Malesela.
Affectionately known as “Mahoota”, Mashego celebrated his 35th birthday on Thursday, and will be hoping to inspire his side to reach a maiden cup final.
