Head Coach, Dan Malesela has said that his team needs no extra motivation going to the last game of the season against Free State Stars on Saturday, 27 May 2017 at Goble Park Stadium.

The curtain is coming down on Saturday to what has been a gruelling Absa Premiership season,  with all games kicking off at 15:00.

While the champions have already been decided, the fight for the champions league spot,Top 8 and relegation is on, making Saturday afternoon very exciting with fans around the country on the edge of their seats.

Chippa United will need either a draw or a win to survive.

Dan Malesela revealed on Wednesday during the last press conference of the season that his side will take both; “We have options, option 1 to win and option 2 to draw. This means we will be very cautious in our approach.

“This probably puts pressure on Free State Stars but also on us because they will go all out to win.

“We will be up to it. We will take a draw or a win on Saturday.

The Port Elizabeth based side are currently in 13th position with 27 points after 29 games, while Free State Stars is in 14th position with same number of points and games but an inferior goal difference.

“Our preparations today and tomorrow will be based on how we want to play on Saturday, which I am not going to reveal,” said Malesela with a smile.

“We are not going to make wholesale changes, “Slaughter” (Xolani Mdaki) is out injured, and Zuke (Sandile) will have to pass a late fitness test. There won’t be too much changes that’s for sure.

Malesela said the players do not need an extra motivation going to the last game of the season.

“No extra motivation is needed. We are all well aware of the situation and where the Club is.

“The supporters came to speak to us before the SuperSport (United) league game. Commitment still stands. We must do all to save this Club.

The Pretoria born Coach responded with a smile when asked whether or not he has had difficulty  sleeping, taking into consideration the situation the Club finds itself in, “I sleep no problem. I am confident of our situation.

Reiterating his commitment to the Chilli Boys, Malesela said ; “I have a contract with the Club until 2019. Even though the focus is on the game on Saturday, together with the Technical Team, we have started to discuss plans for next season.

“We will all come back on Monday to review and discuss further our plans ,” he concluded.

Kick-off for the game is at 15h00.
