Head Coach, Dan Malesela lapses of concentration at the back cost his charges as Platinum Stars came back from behind to win 2-1 at Royal Bafokeng Sports Palace on Friday evening.

Chippa took the lead in the 20th minute through Lerato Manzini as it looked like a game in the bag for visitors.

Ngambi leveled the mattes for hosts before Sihlongo grabbed the winner in the 89th minute.

Malesela felt his side pulled their foot off the peddle in the second half allowing Stars to come back to the game.

“We stopped playing in the second half. We defended badly. This is a sad loss,” said a visibly disappointed Malesela speaking to chippautdfc.co.zaafter the game.

“We need to start showing character and show the same attitude regardless of the opposition.

“We had a superb first half and we should have scored more.

Malesela refused to blame traveling and the stop start encounter encounter against Mamelodi Sundowns midweek as a reason for the loss.

“The midweek game had no effect on the result. We made things difficult for ourselves here and we must pick the pieces and focus on the next one on Tuesday,” added Malesela.

Chippa United will host Bidvest Wits at Sisa Dukashe on Tuesday, 7 March 2017. Kick off for the game is at 19h30.
