A win for Chippa United in Polokwane on Saturday, 17 February 2018 at the new Peter Mokaba Stadium will ensure that the Chilli Boys open the gap between themselves and the chasing pack in the bottom half of the Absa Premiership table.
The Chilli Boys have notched just one win since the turn of the year when they beat AmaZulu away in the first week of January.
The shared spoils with Bidvest Wits, Golden Arrows, Maritzburg United and most recently with Platinum Stars in a six goal thriller at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium.

Head Coach TebohoMoloi who rested most of the senior players for Nedbank fixture told chippautdfc.co.za that the objective going to Polokwane is to open the gap between Chippa United and the chasing pack.
“It is important to start winning games to open the gap between ourselves and the teams behind us.
“We must make the Province of the Eastern Cape and our spiritual owners, the Supporters proud. ,” he said.
“It is an away game and we going there with a point and we must fight for the other two points.
“We must protect our point first and if we get a chance do a smash and grab like we nearly did against Maritzburg ( Chippa United were denied by a post in the dying minutes with score at 1all),” he continued.
Moloi is aware that Baroka will be tough away; “They are an ultra defensive side, very cautious. They do a lot of homework on their opponents as you saw against Platinum Stars (On Wednesday).
“They have two line ups and you not sure whitch one we will face on Saturday. This is also the team that came here and beat us first round.
“We are prepared for anything. We of course work on our defense following the game against Platinum Stars where we conceded three goals. I am expecting the lads to rise to the occasion and we return back with maximum points.
“The mood in the Team is good. The players are all aware on what is expected of them come Saturday.
Moloi revealed that Abel “Magic” Mabaso and Mxolisi “Akanamali” Macuphu will miss the game on Saturday due to injury.
“We have everyone else available including the lads that were rested last week. We have enough ammunition to compete come Saturday,” he added.
Kickoff for the game is at 15h30.
