Chippa United will square up against Supersport United FC in the Nedbank Cup semi finals on date and venue yet to be confirmed by the League.

The potentially explosive semi finals were confirmed by the Premier Soccer League, following a live draw at the Supersport Studios in Randburg on Monday evening.

The Chilli Boys were well represented by the suited up Katlego “Mahoota” Mashego, also present at the draw was COO, Lukhanyo Mzinzi.

Chippa United have played all their Nedbank Cup games leading to the semis at home, and Mashego was pleased to get another home draw.

“We are happy with the home draw. The only time we want to go away (in this competition) is when we go to Durban,” said Mashego after the draw.

“We have been lucky to play all our games at home, with two first division clubs (Witbank Spurs and Jomo Cosmos) and Polokwane City.

“We now have Supersport United. We do not choose who to meet, and that means we will have to beat Supersport United on our way to the final,” added Mashego.

In the other semi fixture Golden Arrows will host Orlando Pirates.

The League further revealed that the final will be played at Moses Mabhida Stadium with a 20:15 kick-off.
