Siyabonga Ngubane has told chippautdfc.co.za that he has turned his focus to theTelkom KO first round fixture on Friday, 21 October 2016 against Highlands Park away in Tembisa.
The baby-faced Ngubane made his debut for Chippa United last Saturday as the Chilli Boys came off second best against Golden Arrows.
The Port Elizabeth-based side lost for the first time in the league this season in four outings.
Ngubane, who made his debut in place of injured Diamond Thopola, was naturally disappointed about the loss; “It was disappointing to lose the game in the manner we did.
“I am already focused though on the next game against Highlands Park. I’m sure it is the same for everyone at the Club.
“Highlands Park will be a different ball game. Cup games are different, but we must focus on our preparations.
The former Mamelodi Sundowns and TUKS utility player says, despite the loss was delighted to finally pull on the blue and white.
“I was delighted to get an opportunity to play. Training, friendly games and official matches are different. The intensity is not the same as it showed in the second half.
Ngubane was replaced in the second half as he was suffering from cramps; “We played under difficult conditions. It was too hot but we must learn to adapt.
Ngubane is hoping to bounce back from the disappointment of the previous game; “I am settling well in Port Elizabeth and have been working hard in training.
“I came here to continue with my development as a player and I think I am on the right track.
“Hopefully we can put the disappointment of losing the game against Arrows behind and focus on the next game.
“Our objectives going to this game remain the same; to compete for every trophy on offer and fight for the badge,” added Ngubane.
