Former Chippa United marksman, Rhulani Manzini has expressed gratitude to the Chippa United Family following his departure to join AmaZulu last week.

“Iron Ball” spent two seasons in Port Elizabeth, but it was last season where he made a notable contribution, scoring eight (8) goals in twelve (12) games including a hat trick against SuperSport United in what was a must-win game for Chippa United to have a chance of surviving the axe.

“It is Only God who directs ones path,” said Manzini.

The Bushbuckridge-born continued and said in his tribute, “To all the supporters, the Chippa United faithful, I am grateful for the support and love that you gave  me during my time at the Club.

“I thank the Executive Chairman, Chippa Mpengesi, Management, Technical Team and all the coaches that gave me an opportunity on the pitch to make a contribution to this wonderful brand.

“My Teammates played a big role in my development as a player and I would like to wish them all the best this season,” said Manzini.

Manzini said he had accepted the challenge to join the KwaZulu Natal based side for growth.

“In order for one to grow, he must come out of his comfort zone, and challenge himself. You will forever be in my heart, may God bless you all,” added Manzini.

Manzini played his last game for Chippa United in May last season when Chippa United narrowly lost to SuperSport United in the semi finals of Nedbank Cup.

He could not make the squad for both games early this season and will welcome the challenge down in Durban.
