Chippa United newly appointed interim Coach Teboho “Tebza” Moloi admitted that he is happy with the away point retained against platinum Stars, the game ended in a goalless draw with both sides struggling to break the deadlock.

The game was played at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium, on Saturday night.

“The boys showed character, we created chances which we could’ve converted, but I will take the point away from home.

“We are still lacking confidence in front of goals, but with this point I can rest assure that the boys will realise that, there will be some games where we play away and come back with a point instead of losing the game.

“When we play home games, it becomes advantageous for us because it’s like we already have one point in the bag and we will just need to score one goal or two to get the maximum points.

“Tebza” as he is known in the football circles, was appointed as an interim coach, after sacking of Coach Dan Malesela who is linked to Polokwane City.

“You can be a head coach, assistant coach, interim coach, for just being in the technical team you have to respect and appreciate the opportunity of having to contribute towards the success of the team.

“My duty here is to teach, guide and take players to their outmost best, and to also help them to boost their confidence.

“it is very important for every coach to be able to take players to their next level.

The new coach feels like he is spoilt with choices when coming to the entire squad of the team, that have a mixture of experienced and young players.

“We have a strong squad that have a variety of players, youngsters and senior players, and it’s good for me and for the team.

“Some games I must go with the young players, and some games we will just have to go for senior players, everyone must just work hard and will get his chance to prove his worth.

The Chilli Boys will be hoping to bounce back to winning ways when they face Erick Tinkler’s side away from home, who won two games in three games they played this season.

“This is like a baptism of fire, you come from Rodger De Sa, now Erick Tinkler, this is a game where I will be hoping to get maximum points, but I will settle for a draw, as long as we don’t go home empty handed” Moloi concluded.

The kickoff for the game is 19h:30
