Head Coach, Dan ‘Dance’ Malesela believes that a lot can be learned from Mamelodi Sundowns after their historic triumph on Sunday in Alexandria, Egypt.

Mamelodi Sundowns were crowned African Club champions, beating Zamalek 3-1 over two legs.

Malesela was addressing the media following a frustrating goalless draw against Bloemfontein Celtic at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Tuesday evening.

He was critical on what was seen as delaying tactics from the opposition.

“We can learn a lot from Mamelodi Sundowns after their victory in the champions league, and take South African football to the next level.

“The footballing world will now be looking at us (PSL), and we need to start giving back to the paying customers, the supporters.

“The supporters come to the stadium for entertainment, as coaches let’s give it to them. Let’s play fair,” continued Malesela.

Back to the game, the legendary defender admitted that the team is struggling at the “top”.

“We have a challenge upfront. We have not scored a goal in three games, and it’s for the first time this has happened since I have been here.

“It is not a massive challenge because we creating chances, but we must start scoring goals again,” added Malesela.
