Lerato Manzini has revealed that the abandonment of the game against Mamelodi Sundowns had no effect on the players as the two teams shared the spoils on Wednesday morning.
Manzini affectionately known as ‘Zlatan’ in football circles, and his teammates saw their game being abandoned due to a power failure on Tuesday evening in the 42nd minute.
They were back at it at 10h00 on Wednesday morning to play the remaining 48 minutes.
“We had to be professional about it so we were able to adapt,” said Manzini a two-goal hero against Golden Arrows last Friday.
“We were all ready to resume the game on Wednesday morning just like we were going to be for training.
“The lads gave it their all. It is never easy playing Mamelodi Sundowns away but we did not come here for a draw but full points,” added Manzini.
Chippa United will travel to Rusternburug on Friday for a date against Platinum Stars.
