Paseka Mako has called on his teammates to play above themselves, and give the people of the Eastern Cape an early Christmas present when they welcome Highlands Park at Sisa Dukashe on Saturday, 17 December 2017.

The game will mark the first time Chippa United plays at the revamped Sisa Sedukashe in Mdantsane.

The Port Elizabeth based side has a good record at the Buffalo Municipality where they have won two, drawn one and lost one last season.

The ChilliBoys are licking their wounds following a slender defeat away to Polokwane midweek and will want to use the game on Saturday to return back to their winning ways.

“We have to bounce back. No doubt,” said Mako who has been used as a leftback in the absence of injured Marc Van Heerden.

“It’s important that we start winning games and climb the log table.

“The League is tough this season and we do not want to be where we are on the log (Chippa United is currently lying 10th),” continued Mako affectionately known to as “Ben 10”.

Mako joined the ChilliBoys in July and admitted that he watched the Club’s game on TV last season.

“I was fascinated by what I saw, the brand of football and the supporters. Games in East London were of course special with the vibe at the stadium. Our supporters will again come in numbers come Saturday.

“I believe a win will be a perfect early Christmas present to them and we must do all it takes to win the game.

“We have moved on from the midweek defeat away in Polokwane. We must correct our mistakes and work harder.

“Each and everyone given a nod tomorrow must play above themselves to give people of this province and our supporters something to cheer about at what is the last home game for the year,” added Mako.

Kickoff for the game is at 15h30 and tickets are already on sale at TicketPro outlets nationwide selling R60 adults and R20 for children under the age of 12
