Head Coach, Dan Malesela insisted that Chippa United will not change their style on Sunday, 11 September when they lock horns with Mamelodi Sundowns at Nelson Mandela Stadium.

Kickoff for the game is at 15h00.

Chippa United brushed aside Platinum Stars while Mamelodi Sundowns going to this game as favourites beat neighbours, SuperSport United.

Chippa United has been displaying a good brand of football that includes a lot of ball rotation, retention and impressive build and speaking ahead of the Sunday showdown he insisted that his charges will not change their style.
“We will not change our style,” said Malesela addressing the media during the MTN8 media day held at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Thursday afternoon.

“It is important for us to keep the ball on the ground. These fields (pointing on the ground) were made flat on that purpose. If I had my way the ball will never leave the ground,” he added with laughter.
“We off course have to switch play and due to that you have to hit a long one. However we always want to keep the ball on the ground this is a big part on our style of play.

Malesela is aware of the threat that is posed by the reigning PSL champions and CAF Champions League semi finalists, “It is important that we focus for the entire 90 minutes and beyond. We are playing at home and we must keep things tight at the back.

‘Dance’ as Dan Malesela is affectionately known further revealed that his side is going to game with a bill clean of health,” We do not have any injuries. Everyone if fit for this game no player wants to nurse an injury ahead of a semi final game,”

The gates open at 12h00.
