Head Coach, Dan Malesela has said that his charges will do all they can to beat SuperSport United and proceed to the Nedbank Cup final.

The two sides lock horns in the Nedbank Cup semi final at Sisa Dukashe in Mdantsane.  Kick-off for the game is at 3pm.

Chippa United are going to this game with their heads held high following an emphatic 3-0 victory against SuperSport United in Port Elizabeth on Wednesday in the league.

The win was Chippa United’s first win against the Pretoria side.

Malesela believes a cup game will be a different game; “It will be a totally different game to that of Wednesday.  They rested a few of their players, and will raise their game; but who does not want to go to the final?”, said Malesela.

“We are playing at home,” said Malesela pointing to the stands of Sisa Dukashe Stadium. “These people  (the fans) will be cheering the team and we must do our all to proceed to the final.

“We must fix a few things ahead of this game, in particular at the back where we made mistakes on Wednesday.

Malesela poured cold water on suggestions that the hosts are favourites to proceed to the final following the victory midweek.

“The only advantage is that we are playing at home. I do not want to lose at home. However, we will not entertain the “favourites tag” following the result on Wednesday ,” he concluded.

Tickets for this game are available at Ticket Pro outlets nationwide and KwaJekwa Service Station (Engen next to the Stadium)for R40 adults and R15 children under the age of 12.
