HANAMUB PRAISES TEAM FIGHTING SPIRIT

Riaan Hanamub waxed lyrical about the team's never-lie-down attitude in their last half a dozen matches as our boys prepared for TS Galaxy in their DStv Premiership encounter at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on Saturday.

The match kicks off at 3.30pm, with our Chippa United social media platforms carrying live updates from the venue.

Hanamub, the Chippa United left back, has been in sparkling form in recent weeks with the team searching for their fourth league victory of the campaign against the Mpumalanga outfit.

"The positives from us in our recent matches is our persistence and fighting spirit in the team. That is also how we managed to fight back and get an equaliser in the dying minutes in our last fixture away to Bloemfontein Celtic last weekend," he said.

Frederic Nsambiyumva netted the winner when the Chilli Boys collected all three points in a corresponding fixture last month.

The team (14 points) is out to collect crucial three points that will push the team towards the top half of the standings.

Though, Hanamub, warned: "Playing at home and having beaten them the last time does not guarantee you three points. We have to work hard and grind. Playing at home does give us some advantage but we have to still work hard and grind for a win.

"Galaxy is a hard running team that uses wide spaces, their wingers...but we've be training to deal with that. We've also been working on defending higher this week in our match preparations.
