Caretaker Coach, Teboho Moloi has said that he will work together with his Technical Team to instil a “result driven mentality” to his charges for the squad to achieve their goals this season.

Teboho Moloi has more than a decade experience in coaching and has acquired SAFA Level Two Certificate in Coaching and has German Certificate in Coaching (equivalent to UEFA B License). He spent most of his time as a player at Orlando Pirates where he is a legend.

Speaking to on Thursday following a gruelling morning session for the first with the players Moloi expressed his gratitude to Executive Chairman, Siviwe “Chippa” Mpengesi for giving him an opportunity to coach Chippa United Football Club.

Mr Teboho Moloi congratulations once more on your appointment…

It is very easy for Club Chairmen to go with someone more experienced, tried and tested as compared to someone that has been an assistant and this appointment is a demonstration of a the commitment by the Executive Chairman to give opportunities to aspiring coaches to show what they can offer. I am grateful and thankful to have been given an opportunity to coach this Football Club.

You had your first session with the lads this morning; what did you take out of the session?

It is unfortunate that I come here on the back of a loss earlier this week but it was amazing to see the response from the players during training. They did not have their heads on the hole. We have an ambitious group that is eager to achieve things and fight for this Club.

There is not much time to prepare for the next game against Platinum Stars…

The fact that we are based in Port Elizabeth means that we have to travel more than other teams. Chippa United play more or less the kind of football that I like we just need to fix few aspects on their game.

If you play football the end result is scoring and winning football matches. It is nice when you play but without goals you are same as a boxer that runs around the ring without throwing real punches to hurt the opponent. We must instil winning mentality to these players.

Real Madrid after Barcelona has shown us that you can play attractive brand of football but also you can score goals.

You worked with the players before and during preseason camp, what do you make of the squad that the Team has assembled?

The reason you are at Chippa United it is because the Club identified potential in you as a player, my duty working with my colleagues is to help you fulfil that potential. It is important to bring back smile to the Chairman, supporters and for these players to make their families happy. Key as well is to make sure that they players understand their brand value and what is expected from them as professionals. We can achieve this working together and we have the squad to achieve our goals this season.

What is your message to the Province and our Supporters nationwide?

Keep on coming in numbers and support the Team through thick and thin as you have done over the years. Get behind this project and the players. Do not despair following the loss on Tuesday; continue to rally behind these lads.

We will listen to your opinion because you are the strength behind the success of the Club. Invite more members to sign for our Supporters. Pick us up when chips are down because great Clubs are inspired by their supporters when chips are down and with your support we can take this project to the next level.
