Q: Thank you very much for your time. Please take us through your preparations ahead of the new season.

A: Our preparations went well we had a 6 week preseason.  We played some tough friendlies with 2 games against 1st our team. Playing our 1st team always bring a great value of experience that we use as a platform to build on.

Q: Were you able to bring in new players during the off season? Take us through comings and goings…

We have exciting new players in the team and proud to announce that 3 players are from Mdanstane east London.  This shows our commitment of looking deeper into the east cape. Exciting thing is we have continued to assemble a team from boys from eastern cape. We lost Dillion Goss and Sherwin Bailey to Nfd team Ubuntu FC. Great career moves for the 2 players and promoted Xolani Maholo and Yurigg Conwood to 1st team.

We beginning to experience lots of calls and demand for our MDC boys this on its own shows that we getting there in terms of player development within Pe and eastern cape at large.

Q: Lastly, what are your ambitions this season?

This season our ambitions is to compete for a top 3 finish and not forgetting to giving our much younger player’s a opportunity to make MDC league. We have players as young as 15 that will start training with MDC team during school holidays.  We are very focused on balancing their football and education.  Those to cannot be separated.

Q: Any message to the fans?

A: I would like to thank my Team in the development for the hard work over the past couple months. The support from the senior Team Technical staff and Head Coach, Dan Malesela has been fantastic.

The support from Management and everyone at the office has been great and we going to the new season with confidence, for that we are grateful.

We would like to call upon our fans to come in numbers on Saturday. Their support has been a driving force behind our success.
